Flight Details

  1. Departure;  March 16th   Washington National USAirways Flight # 2032 Departing at 11:45 and arriving Boston Logan Airport at 13:05 Connecting to Aer Lingus Flight # EI 138 at 20:30 arriving Shannon Airport on Thursday morning the 17th at 0730.

 1.1 Arrival Back in Washington DC on Sunday March 26th at 19:37 at Washington National on US Airways Flight# 2045 departing Boston at 17:45 connecting from Aer Lingus Flight # EI 133 departing Dublin at 13:00 and arriving Boston at 15:35.[1]

2. Thursday March 16th: Departure;

                        10:00 Team Bus Departs Gonzaga [2] for Washington National Airport

                        10:30 Meet for group check in at US Airways Terminal C departure desk.

                        13:30 Team Bus Tour of Boston-lunch at Faeuil Hall/Quincy Market Place

                        18:30 Return to Logan Airport for International Boarding Procedures

            `           20:30 Departure to Ireland

 3.  Friday March 17th: Arrival @ Shannon Airport at 07; 30

            09:30 Private Chartered Bus transportation to Boys Hotel[3] in Limerick (12 miles)

            10:30 Check in at Travel Lodge

            11;30 Rugby Practice at Old Boys Crescent College Rugby Club (www.oldcrescentrfc.com)

            13:00 Departure for All Munster High School Rugby Championship Match in either Limerick or Cork

            15:00 Championship Match with 10,000 High school spectators

            17;30 Return to Limerick for early St. Patty’s Day dinner in City Center at the Sin Bin Restaurant and Pub[4]

             24:00 Lights out.[5]

Saturday March 18:

            09:00-10:00 Breakfast @ Hotel

            12:00 Travel to Crescent College (www.crescentsj.com) for Practice and Pre-Game Warm Ups

            14:00 to 17;00 A and B side matches against Crescent Jesuit College at Crescent Old Boys Rugby Club

            17:00 Post Game Party, Singing contest and dinner with Crescent College lads

            20:00 Post Game Disco at either Old Boys or Nellies Irish Restaurant

            00;00 Lights out

Sunday March 19:

            09:00-10:30 Breakfast @ Hotel

            11:00 Mass at St. Johns Cathedral in Limerick

            12:00-15:00 Lunch and Travel to Old Boys for afternoon practice with Coach Fergus Walsh

            16:00-18:30 Medieval Dinner Banquet for Parents and Boys at Bunratty Castle

            Evening Free for Tour of Limerick City Center, (see Activity Annex)

 Monday March 20:

            09;30-10:30 Breakfast @ Hotel

            10; 30AM Departure by Private Coach for Coastal Tour to Galway[6] via Cliffs of Moher in County Clare.

            13:00 Pub Fish and Chips Lunch in Galway

            14;30 Check-in at Barnacles Youth Hostel (www.barnacles.ie.) [7]

            15:30-17:30 Practice at St. Ignatius Grounds

Tuesday March 21st.

Wednesday March 22: Game Day with Colaiste Iognaid –St. Ignatius College                                                   (www.colaisteiognaid.com)

            12:00 Tour and Presentation of Colasite Iognaid

            13:30 -16:00  Matches A and B

            17:00 -19:00Post match reception, dinner and sing a long hosted by Colasite Iognaird 

            19:30 Free Evening in Galway

Thursday March 23:  

            07:30 - 09:00 Breakfast @ Hostel

            11:00 Travel to Dublin by Rail on the Intercity Express

            14:00 Check in at Avalon Youth Hostel www.avalon-house.ie. [8]

            15:30 Practice and Tour of Gonzaga High School of Dublin, (www.gonzaga.ie) or practice at Belvedere RFC

            19:00 Dinner in Dublin

            23:00 Lights Out

Friday March 24: Game Day against GONZAGA-Ireland

            09:00-10:30 Breakfast @ youth hostel

            12:00 Departure for Gonzaga; Lunch and Tour of School

            14:00 Pre-Game warm ups and both matches at 15:00.

            16:30 Post game reception and dinner with Gonzaga lads

            18:30 Presentation of 2006 Tour Fine Champion

            20:00-Disco at Old Belvedere RFC or Trinity College

            24:00 Lights Out

Saturday March 25: Optional Social Justice Tour of Belfast

                08; 00-09;30 Breakfast at Hotel

                09:35 Enterprise Express Train to Belfast via Connolly Street Station

                11:40  Arrive Belfast and meet Black Taxi Tour of Belfast of two hours (see Annex)

                16:00 Tour Confessions and Mass in Belfast or in Dublin

                18:10 Departure for Dublin on Enterprise Train

                20.30 Arrive Dublin for Free Evening of Traditional Irish Music

Sunday March 26th

                  09:00-10:30 Breakfast

                  10:30 Departure for Dublin airport via Airbus.

                  13;00 Aer Lingus Flight # EI 133 to Boston

                  15; 35 Arrive Boston Logan at 15:35 and connect to USAirways departing at 17:45

                  19:27 Scheduled arrival at Washington National Airport

 

[1] Aer Lingus is offering trip cancellation and insurance for $33.

[2] Those students unable to secure transport to Washington National and who prefer to attend first two periods of class. All others travel on their own to Washington National
