You must take the initiative to track down either Mr. Combs at the Saturday tournament or Mr. Newkumet at one of the MAVRC games next week to have their head shot taken. Location: Glasgow High School, 1901 S College Ave Newark, DE 19702-2377 (roughly 95 miles away from Gonzaga) DIRECTIONS
Players Report: Be at Gonzaga by 9:00 AM (BRING YOUR PHOTO ID FOR PLAYER CHECK-IN)
Transportation: A bus for players will leave school shortly after 9:00 AM
Fans: We need you! Please attend the game and support Gonzaga!
Implications: This is a “do or die” game. The winner goes on to Nationals on May 31/June 1 in Pittsburgh, serving as the Mid-Atlantic representative (and 4th seed in the country). |

 Eagles Win Inaugural MAVRC Championship
On May 10, Gonzaga picked up another title winning the inaugural Metro Area Varsity Rugby Conference (Maverick) championship with a 27-7 victory over Hyde Public Charter on Buchanan field Saturday. The Eagles move on to a regional championship and a chance to advance to the National Championships next Saturday in Newark, DE. The D2/D3 PRU Tournament was postponed til May 17 due to field conditions.

Sophomore Team Win Eye Street Festival
CONGRATULATIONS to the Sophomores for winning the Eye Street Festival on Saturday, May 2 with convincing wins, including a victory over St. John's in the finals! The event was also a huge success in terms of several hundred dollars being raised to benefit the McKenna Center. THANKS to all who volunteered!
Eagles Win Ninth Straight PRU
On April 26,
Gonzaga defeated the Hyde Public Charter School in Severna Park, MD, 52-29, to capture its 9th straight Potomac Rugby Union Championship. This marks the Eagle's 10th championship in 11 years.

Watch Dr. Jackie Eghrari-Sabet (mom of Nicolas Sabet, '11) speaking on a recent NBC 4 Get Healthy for Life segment on team sports and health. You'll want to watch right up towards the end, when Jackie—known as Dr. Jackie to fans of her monthly appearances on Get Healthy for Life--gives a shout out to Gonzaga Rugby!  Spain & France Tour (17 March 2008) -The Gonzaga Rugby team played their first matches on tour against San Cugat with the B side falling 46 0. In the A match, the boys came out with a purpose and defeated San Cugat 46 24. Try scorers included Sacasa 2, LaPaille, Penberthy 2, Mellody, Bruno, Beauregard and Buckley with 3 conversions.
